Hi Folks, I am presently reading Rolland & Heidi Bakers book ALWAYS ENOUGH - Gods Miraculous Provision among the Poorest children on Earth. This is the foundational story of Gods miraculous work through their efforts in Mozambique and is a fantastic collection of witness Testimonies. After a decade of hard won ministry success they had established just 4-churches. Then in January 1998 while in US on a preaching trip they attended the Toronto revival outpouring under Randy Clarks preaching and listen to this...Heidi went down under Gods Holy Spirit for not 1 hour, not 2 hours, not 12 hours, not 1 day, BUT for 7 consecutive days. She was unable to move and had to be carried from the meeting to the bathroom and then daily to and from her hotel bed. Here is what she wrote, Randy Clark was preaching about the apostolic anointing, laying down our lives and the holy fire of God. He pointed to me and said, God is asking, Do you want Mozambique? I experienced the heavenly fire of God falling on me. I was so hot I literally thought I was going to burn up and die. I remember crying out, Lord Im dying! UI heard the Lord clearly speak to my heart, Good, I want you dead! He wanted me completely emptied of self so He could pour even more of His Spirit into my life... The weight of His glory was upon me. I felt so heavy I could not lift my head. Some passing by thought it was funny to someone stuck to the floor for so long. If I was put in a chair I slid off onto the floor again. I was utterly and completely helpless. I was unable to speak for most of the seven days. The holy, fearful. awesome presence of God completely changed my life. Ive never been so humbled. never felt so poor, so helpless, so vulnerable. I even needed help to drink water. There was nothing funny about it. It was a most holy time. I learned more in those seven days than in the ten years of academic theological study.... I thought I had been depending on Him to plant churches, when in reality I depended a lot on my own abilities. Naturally, things (had) moved pitifully slowly. Its comical to think we can do Gods work for Him. Its all grace. He allows us to participate with Him, and so there is always enough. He showed me how much I needed Him and the Body of Christ. he is calling us to complete humility and gentleness. It is never about us; it is always about Him... He is our only hope. He is our Lord. Our faith is in Him. We are baptized into Him. We lay down our lives. We die to ourselves in baptism. We are raised a new creation in Christ God is calling each of us to walk in the mercy and grace He has given us. He prepares us for works of service... Our only desire is to live the life of a humble servant-lover of our Lord Jesus. After her transformation, Heidi changed her ministry strategy to one of absolute openness, trust and reliance on God leading their work, and began to watch as He planted 100, 200 and then over a 1000 churches throughout Mozambique, ministered by locals many who have been converts through their work. Growth in attendance everywhere has been based on miracles abounding including many Testimonies of people being healed and even raised from death with their families and villages immediately responding to the gospel call of giving their lives to Jesus. Heidis Testimony of experiencing Gods Spirit for a whole week and her ensuing message that Its all about Him, reminds me of those wonderful lyrics in Matt Redmans worship song Im Coming Back To The Heart of Worship. ENJOY as you think about what you have just read and perhaps take time to pray about your relationship with He who is in charge of our lives. Be greatly blessed! And consider sharing this excerpt of Heidis story with others. https://youtube/watch?v=Y0a9T0UtJBQ
