Hi Folks, Im looking to gauge support for a large local food project. (Rossland to Salmo to Meadow Creek to Nakusp) This would be something that involves farmers and eaters coming together to make a statement about local food production and our belief it deserves extensive support from CBT. Many other groups are working or have worked on this idea in bits and pieces. We need a comprehensive local food system. One that serves ALL farmers, regardless of what they grow or how they grow it. It needs to serve eaters too. The idea that one abattoir or one food storage facility for one group will solve our issues is not realistic. We need a system that is linked together. Certainly all groups can be involved but it needs to be a One for all and all for one effort. No more expensive studies. No more tire kicking. Shovels in the ground.
