Hi Folks, Mother’s Day is just around the corner. Tickets for our second annual Mother’s Day Brunch will be available (I think) this week at the market. We have chosen this fabulous secluded creek side location that is owned by one of the family members of Beeman’s Bakery. We are still working out the details but it will be fabulous and everyone will enjoy the day! Put it on your calendar and bring a friend. Answer Time: Yes, well, parking… we know it’s an issue and boy do we wish is was not! The parking lot at the post office is finally complete so that is going to have a very good impact on the market this summer. Did you know that there is a very long, large lot just across the street from us? It runs behind the buildings across the street and is NEVER full and has metered parking until 4:00. Also, you can always leave your bags at the Friends Table, go get your vehicle, and then stop curbside to load up. Just grab a volunteer and ask for help. Guest Vendors: Wild for Salmon: Wild for Salmon will be bringing the usual Alaska Sockeye Salmon goodies such as our Fillets, portions, Feta-Dill burgers, Hot Italian Sausage, Hot Smoked, Nova Smoked, Smoked Salmon Ravioli & Salmon Spread. We also have our new Salmon product - Gravlax, that we are curing ourselves, here at Wild for Salmon! Everyone should be sure to ask Crissy for a sample, with its orange zest and hint of dill, its delicious! Look for various scallop sizes and whitefish. John Kelly Seafood Connection: John will be taking orders this week for fresh live or steamed Maine lobster, dry Sea Scallops, Maine rock crab meat and fresh haddock or hake fillets that he will deliver on April 23rd. Regular Vendors: Oyler’s Organic Farm: Sara will have FRESH pressed certified organic apple cider, certified organic apples, certified organic pastured soy-free eggs, and certified organic applesauce. Roots Flower Farm: Tulips! Daffodils! Ranunculus! Sweet jelly jar arrangements. Blueberry, curly willow, dogwood & pussywillow twig wreaths. Taking orders now for Easter arrnagements. Pecan Meadow Farm: Daniel is with us each week providing a selection of pasture-raised meats. New this winter is a variety of pork cuts. Choices include lamb, beef, duck, rabbit, guinea and chicken. Keep you eyes open for duck eggs, granola and special baked treats on occasion. Some of the best steak in town! Check out the stone ground wheat from Daniels 1940’s seed. Sunset Valley Farm: Emanuel has straight-from-the-grass-fed-cow raw milk, cheeses, low-fat black raspberry yogurt, maple yogurt, and eggs (soy free). Plus, ask them about milk delivery!. Beeman’s Baked Goods: Beeman’s will offer Pies, Cakes, Cookies, Zucchini Bread and Whoopie Pies this week. We will be offering specials on all Apple Pies, Apple Dumplings and Apple Crumb with Pecans. We will also have Red Velvet Whoopie Pies. We will see everyone on Wednesday. Otterbein Acres: Mark and Paul will be busy at the grill! They will be serving up fabulous grilled pastured chicken halves. They have coolers full of all types of cheese (try the Ewes Dream!), yogurt, smoothies, meats, fresh chicken, meadow mint tea and kombucha. Celtic Knot: Celtic Knot will be bringing our same assortment of hats, scarves, hand warmers and yarn, though this week we hope to add some knitting kits so people get a pattern, knitting needles and the yarn they need to make the pattern. Cool Beans: Katie will have will have cookies and granola bars, hot coffee, hot tea, cold drinks, and turnovers. Dawg Gone Bees: Jackie and Hal bring you all-natural honey products supplied by their bees. You will find beeswax products like candles. They also will have an array of sweet and tart jams and jellies, honey mustard and yummy granola. Try their honey popcorn. Esh’s Produce: Steven and family will have potatoes and potato chips, ketchup, root beer, jams and jellies plus many types of canned goods. WIC and FMNP check accepted here. Everblossom Farm: Look for heirloom beans, garlic, four types of kale, collard greens, Swiss chard, lettuce, bok choy, and spinach.WIC and FMNP check accepted here. Keswick Creamery: Award-winning gourmet cheeses made with milk from cows raised outdoors on lush pastures. Mel will have special reserve cheeses that have been aged for one year. Try their spicy dragons breath or pimento spread! Cheddar and blue are back and she will also have bove, fresh whole milk ricotta and yogurt. Mel has a fantastic new cheese to try! Lark Rise Farm: Sherri and Cookie have expanded and now sell produce AND bread. On the bread side look for fabulous artisan breads, bagels and pizza rounds and cherry choc. sour dough. On the veg. side look for freshly cut greens and those delicious little micro greens. Ask for information about joining their CSA! Mountainside Supper Club:. Karen will have Chicken Corn Soup, Beef Pie, Vegetable Fritatta, Mini Italian Stromboli, Gnocchi Marinara with Swiss Chard and Lemon Cheesecake with Raspberry Sauce. Talking Breads: Shana has changed her business name! She will have Swedish rye bread, pugliese, miche, seeded, spelt, 12 grain w cranberries and cinnamon raisin. Three Springs Fruit Farm: Ben and the gang bring lots of crisp sweet apples and a few potatoes. They will also have applesauce and bottled juices. Dont forget to check out the tart cherry juice, Fuji apple juice and dried apples! WIC and FMNP check accepted here. Torchbearer Sauces: Brandon brings you irresistible flavors that allow you to spice up your food, salivate over your entrees, and emblazon your taste buds like never before! The honey mustard is like no other. Come and sample the newest sauce for the first time this week! Dickinson College Farm: DCF will also have a collection of colorful veggies and FRESH MADE salad dressing along with canned goodies like pickled beets, hot sauce AND a selection of our 2014 dried bean crop! Please remember your cloth bags for shopping! From the square in Carlisle, take West High Street through 5 traffic lights. Turn right onto South Orange Street at The Underpass where Routes 641 & 11 split. Continue straight under the bridge, do NOT turn onto 641. Project Share entrance is the first driveway on the right. Follow the long warehouse building past Dickinsons maintenance and the Ballet School. Were the last entrance at the far end of the building. Feel free to park right out front in the grass.
