Hi Folks: There’s some great news about expanded homeschool programs from the East Area YMCA (Faytteville) for the upcoming Fall II session! 1. As of next session (Fall II) the Art and Gym Program (Fridays from 1:00-3:00) will cost only $35.00 per child. Although there will be no discount for siblings, this is still a significant reduction in fees and a phenomenal deal for two hours of quality art instruction and physical education!! Only members of the YMCA will be allowed to register. 2. The daytime (homeschool) swimming lessons, offered during the morning on Tuesdays and Thursdays, will now be paired with a FREE 30-minute gym class before each lesson! Swim lessons are already free for members; the daytime hours mean smaller class sizes and open changing rooms (not to mention open parking spaces!), and now we get a half hour of fun beforehand! In addition, the Power Zone (a large room with tables and couches) will be open to homeschooling families during Tues/Thursday swim lessons if you need a comfortable place to pass the time/eat a snack while kids are in lessons. These changes were made in the hopes of attracting new members to the YMCA, so please spread the word! A separate brochure for homeschooling programs will be published by the YMCA shortly, so stay tuned. Registration for all programs and swimming lessons will begin on Monday.
