Show Support for Oak Flat An All Nations Spiritual Gathering In December, Congress passed a land swap to trade away Oak Flat to Rio Tinto, a UK-based mining corporation. To get the bill through, they attached it to an unrelated bill, the National Defense Authorization Act. Sierra Club and a broad coalition of organizations and tribes have been fighting this land swap for nearly a decade, so this was an especially disappointing and disturbing development. Were not finished fighting to protect these lands, however. Please come out to support protection of Oak Flat at an all nations spiritual gathering!
