Hi Folks— Seems like the holidays come sooner and sooner every year. Sure there are plenty of things to get done, but why not take some time out and enjoy friends and fellowship? For a delightful holiday afternoon in Arcadia on Sunday, Dec14...may we suggest...Tea at DeSoto County Library at 2:30 p.m. (Yes, the library will be open on Sunday for this special event. You must call the library at 993-4851 to make a reservation by 5 p.m. on Dec 12.)...,Tour the Gallery at Martin Realty Co. at 3:30 p.m. (and our monthly meeting)...,and then enjoy the free holiday concert at First Presbyterian Church at 5:30 p.m. Art receiving for our Eighth Annual Art Show will be Saturday, Jan 3, 2015, from 10 a.m. to noon at The Gallery at Martin Realty Co. This show is free to members (reminder: dues are due Jan 1.), or $15 to non-members, which may be applied to the annual membership fee of $35 anytime during the year. Each artist may submit up to 3 pieces. This is an open show with no categories: if you did it and you call it art, we’d like to see it.
