Hi Friends, Here is Saturday’s show with Tony Puccio and Gary Tony and Gary Engberg and special guest, Barb Carey, of Wisconsin Women Fish. Barb talks to Tony and Gary at the Madison Fishing Expo about her organization which she is both the President and founder. Wisconsin Women Fish is the premier women’s fishing club in the Midwest with over 200 members from six states. The club does clinics and classes year-round for its members. They also have outings and this year had a tournament on the Winnebago system. The members come from beginners skill level to full-time guides and tournament professionals. If you are a women and like to fish I suggest that you contact Barb Carey. Walleye TP Quite Tony is back from the MWC tourney in Michigan where he had a tough time catching legal fish. The tournaments winners were going 50 miles one way to catch their walleyes near Lake Huron. The winning weight for 10 walleyes was about 60 pounds. The dove season and early Canada goose season open September 1st and there seems to be a good population of both in the area. Bow season is coming September 18th along with the fall turkey season, and hook and line sturgeon season which is soon coming on selected Wisconsin waters. Fishing is still good on the Madison Chain for smallmouth, northern pike, and panfish. The Wisconsin River is low, but the smallmouth and sauger are active in deeper holes. The salmon are also moving close to shore on Lake Michigan and getting ready to move up the streams and tributaries.
