Hi Friends and LRCP fellow Lab Lovers! I hope you are having a fabulous ... Labulous, or is that a Laberful, weekend. Today I am writing with a purpose! I want to tell you about a friend of mine who is doing something special to help raise $$ for LRCP (and in honor of her beloved Hershey who spread his wings and soars with many of our own) .. and Watson who was adopted earlier this year. Marlene Cimons is a good friend ... and she is doing what many of us never ever would even consider -- running 26.2 miles -- The Marine Corps Marathon. Ok .. maybe some of us have run a marathon ... some will in the future ... but she is doing this right now. (Do you have any idea how far 26.2 miles is?) ... Trust me .. from my home is it 1/3 of the way to Richmond. And ... Marlene is not a young 20s something either ... she is soon celebrating a significant milestone birthday. I bet you will be in total awe if you can guess which one. I know I am ... 12 marathons done by age ... 20? 25? 30? 35? 40? 45? 50? 55? 60? 65? 70? 75? 80? 85? 90? 95? 100? Anyway ... I digess. Marlene is running the marathon to provide a unique way to raise donations for LRCP. She is 1/2 of the way to her goal. The run is on 10/26. Here is what Quincy and Girly / Gabby / Gracie have asked me to do to help (please do one, two or all of the following but if you can only do just one please do (1). -- (1) All you need to do is add your pup(s) name(s) to the Comment and their true age. We will make a donation to Marlenes effort equal to the total ages received by 9/30 ... 11:59 pm. Matching donations are welcome, too. (2) If you have even $5 you can contribute, please click the link below and make a direct donation ... all funds go 100% and directly to LRCP. And (3) finally, please let Marlene know we are her support team -- that is one hell of a wonderfully unique way to raise funds .. and a great distance to go to do so. We
