Hi Friends, today is TBT and this is Mary 24 hours after being diagnoses with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She had 78% cancer in her bone marrow so they hit her hard with many types of chemo. This is what it did to her little body. Poor baby!! But today she has beautiful healthy bright eyes and a bright smile to share with whoever she meets. We had a writer from the Saginaw News come and interview Mary, Ellie, Mark and I this week for an article they will run sometime around Christmas. It is amazing how clear we remember Oct. 23, 2011. His questions very quickly brought us back to that day and then times throughout the journey. I was so happy to be able to share YOU with him. It was each of you who went to bed praying for us and woke up and checked on our night. Good days and bad days, happy days and sad days, days that we felt like we were losing and days that were victorious. You were there and so was JESUS! We shared, that some days we relied on singing praise songs to get through and others…. we relied on Team Mary to pray us through. Mary happily sang “When The Oceans Rise and Thunders Roar, I Will Soar With You Above the Storm” because there were so many days that we felt as if the water was over our heads and we asked the Lord to hold us above the storm. He always did! Not once did he let us out of his sight. I think when life is rolling along it’s easy for our eyes to wander but you know something God NEVER takes his eyes off of us. Tomorrow we will head back down to Ann Arbor to see Mary’s oncologist and have her blood checked. Tonight is a night that vulnerability sneaks back in and fear is felt. I will remind Mar of God’s faithfulness and I will remind myself the same thing. He is so faithful and regardless of the strength of the storm HE is right there happy to hold us above the storm! We trusted him on October 22, 2011 the day before Mary was diagnosed and we still will trust him on Dec. 18, 2014 when they check her blood for any sign of cancer. We appreciate you!!!
