Hi Gail, Im Murphys owner. Sorry to hear about tess. Hope Im not stating the obvious but Im trying to think of all the steps we took when trying to find murphy. Make sure you have notified police, insurance, dog wardens and kennels within a good 30-50 mile radius Check with the micro chip company the dog is registered to your address. We found that murphy was registered to the vets we used to take him when I rang them. Totally useless when youve a lost dog! They will know your scent. Leave plenty of items of your clothing with scent on. Try to concentrate it in a circular area so the dog does not stray to far (perhaps a half mile to mile radius) Do not put rewards on a poster, if she has been stolen, the theifs could hold out longer hoping for a bigger reward I k ow its tedious but keep looking in them places the dog has been sighted. We hated doing this but turns out he was in the area all along and could probably hear us. This may have stopped him from venturing further afield knowing that we was near him Have you made a poster that can be shared online? Send it to the help find murphy page and we will share it. Also email all b and bs, hotels, pubs, shops in the area so the dog is to hot to handle. You need to make the public aware all the time so the dog would be instantly recognisable to any stranger. Local radio or even try the area news. Anything is worth a try You may not believe in that but how about a dog communicator? We was very sceptical but one woman was 95% correct in her explanations of where he was. It was kind of freaky. I will find out who it was and give her your contact details Please dont hesitate to contact me if you need more help . ... Lewis Blythe 08:20 Lewis Blythe
