Hi Giants, a quick note on where I am staying while in Tucson AZ. I am at the Voyager Inn and RV resort (I-10 and Kolb road) on the south eastern edge of the city. Although I dubbed it Senior-Ville, the weekly rate for the individual Casita (mini-mobile) is very reasonable, and I bet you can get at least 6 Giants bikes under the shady carport! The unit sleeps two, has a half kitchen in the front room, a queen bed in the back with good stroage and closets...perfect for staging rides in the desert during a few day stay or for a month!. The complex has amenities!!! pools and hot tubs, a BAR and restaurant (excellent Ribeyes), a decent convenience store, laundry facilities, and much more. Access to Tucson from scooting down the I-10 allows a rider to avoid in-town traffic and hit the best hot spots like the Pima Air Museum, Desert Museum, Karchner Caverns, and Colossal Cave without crossing town! While there are many many places to hole-up in the desert, the Voyager Inn has been one of the best bike-friendly places I stayed it to date...its not the Loews Ventana Canyon resort for sure, but the Lowers would not appreciate an oil-change on their prestigious property, but at the Voyager Inn you might even get some help, or a cold beer to help you along! Oh, and the 4Runner next to my F800 belongs to my mom...I picked it up to replace her aging Tacoma in MD; your welcome mom!
