Hi Gilbert, Hope this email finds you well. I came upon this article.sg.news.yahoo/pro-singaporean-hiring-rules-kick-backlash-072459595--finance.htm While it appears that the intent is there to get our locals such as myself to be hired but the jobsbank data entry format is poorly thought out that it may do more harm or nothing at all. It would not reflect greatly on any local candidates that apply for jobs. eg. a)Data entry into our work experience details. Format for entering data in the INDUSTRY has very limited and restricted choice to select from. Its as good as outdated.b)To enter data into work experience. They do have any field boxes for us to choose to enter our Career Summary or Attributes, Career Objectives and more importantly our Iimpact Achievements in each of the companies that we worked for. Instead, it negatively asked for Reasons for Leaving. Reasons for living is not usually highlighted and not best not to discuss. c) We all could only save ONE cover letter and One resume only which is a disadvantage. For us candidates, we need to sometimes tailor various letters and resumes to fit to the employers JD and the roles. This website does not appear to fulfill its objectives to get local candidates hired as it does not bring out the best of each applicants. Of course, employers would not find suitable candidates from this restrictive and outdated job industry search. Thus, enabling them to hire foreign talents ultimately. When these employers outsource from agencies and jobs portals. The foreign applicants can load up more positive information into their resumes. As you can see how other professional job portals resume data entry format is more up to date. Can this be fair? This jobsbank need to be reworked and improvised. What do you think? Regards J
