Hi Guys! Thanks very much from all the search team here at Looking for Prince Charless Dog for following us over the last year. We would like to wish you all a fantastic new year. Personally, I am reminded of times when things were not so good for me and how much some very little things mattered: like some clean socks and having my laundry done; a hot drink and a chat or even a mushroom stroganoff like I got at the Cowgate Centre, or breakfast at The Ark, both in Edinbugh. So I wish you that joy over the next year. I was always a big fan of John Peel and he had his legendary Festive 50 at this time of year. I thought youd be interested in the Looking for Prince Charless Dog Youtube video of the year. So here it is. The song is sung in mostly Scottish Gaelic I think, which I dont speak but am always fascinated to hear of meetings between Irish Gaelic and Scottish Gaelic speakers. I think these languages a vital component of the richness of our islands cultures. How can we value what is new without valuing the old? I have chosen this work for another reason: I wanted to do something for the divided community in Northern Ireland. A lot of you wont know that Belfast has a huge fence going through it. At its highest it must be oh 60 high. So it might seem hard to address that divide but the people there are doing a brilliant job, like Danny MacAskill symbolically does here. I just feel as a mainland Brit we have a responsibility to help and I have found a way to make me feel I can do that and feel optimistic about the future: I tell people go to to visit Northern Ireland! And if you need some reading material for the journey why not take a copy of Looking for Prince Charless Dog as the Speedwell Trust in Dungannon are one the beneficiary charities. Happy New Year all! m.youtube/watch?v=xQ_IQS3VKjA&feature=youtu.be
