Hi Heather, I hope youre well and things arent too blustery up - TopicsExpress

Hi Heather, I hope youre well and things arent too blustery up in Staffordshire. I just got from a few days away and feel like weve suddenly plunged into a very wet Autumn! I know its been a long time since you last heard from us, and I wanted to give you an update on what weve been doing and our plans for the future. Our crowdfunding campaign was an exciting (and scary) time, but were delighted with the response we received. We owe a great deal to everyone who helped us reach our target. Getting backed by over 350 people (many of whom are our users) was pretty amazing, and the whole team are overwhelmed by the support weve received. The number of members at our London drops have continued to grow, and weve been spending quite a lot of time talking to members and producers about how we can improve the service. One area were particularly focussed on is evolving the operational infrastructure required to better service the drops, the customers and grow the network. Having run drops for over 4 months now, weve come to the realisation that having the Keeper co-ordinate the logistical side of things in the long term is much more complicated than we had initially hoped. Its an issue that some of our Keepers are really struggling with, and put simply, we have to improve things. Customers are also telling us that they want (and expect) delivery, so this is also something weve been starting to trial. Were going to be spending the next few months trying to improve and optimise operations in London, which is potentially going to be quite a departure from what weve been doing. And potentially much more operationally demanding. As a result, weve come to the decision that were unfortunately going to postpone the opening of any new drops until weve made tangible improvements here. Its just not fair to expect Keepers to try and build a successful drop when were still figuring out the best way to move food around, which is such an integral part of the business. I appreciate this probably feels like more frustrating news from us, but we have to listen to feedback were receiving from our users and respond accordingly. It would be great to explain things in more detail, but I just wanted to give you a heads up as to our current thinking. Let me know if youre free for a chat this week or next. Hope alls well with you and hope to speak soon. best wishes,
