Hi Helen! I sort of ran out of class Saturday because (like you know) Charlie was toast. I didnt get a chance to thank you. I came into this expecting miracles and quickly learned that Charlies ability to learn solely depended on my patience and effort. There are soo many things that have improved, I no longer have to shield myself while I get his dinner, he sits and waits. I no longer have to stand in football stance when I open the car door waiting to be tackled. I no longer have to hold on to my deck as Charlie walks (pulls) me down the stairs. I no longer need to make multiple trips out the door afraid of not having a two handed grip on the leash in preparation for his escape. Not to mention sit, stay, wait, leave it, etc. He is a changed dog. Thank you so much for your patience and caring, and your sense of humor! Most of all thanks for putting up with all my e mails and melt downs. We will continue with more classes in the future but for now we will focus on loose leash walking till its mastered!
