Hi, I am looking for the location of this photo. The date it was shot is before Jan 15 1944 and shows a b-24 smoking as it goes down. Based on caption it was lost. However no proof of that exist in photo. Based on the dates and possible missions we believe the location is Osnabruck, Germany and England or Ludwigshafen and England via Paris. The route goes over Saarbrucken. I know these are big areas. Hopefully the pattern of towns, roads and valleys will be a clue. There appears to be a large house/ castle at the y in the valley. any hints are greatly appreciated.
