Hi, I am new to the group and a new horse owner. My daughter has always wanted a horse, ever since she could walk, so for the last four years or so I have had to keep putting her off. I think we have watched “The Black Stallion” at least ten times! A close friend, Suzi from Farken Kray Zee Arabians, offered to let me buy Prinz Azerkaban Wottanutta, and I jumped at the chance. He is a beautiful horse, and perfectly OK as Suzi tells me he has never been broken. She did offer to have him gelded, but I kind of like him black, and it would have cost extra so I said no. He is in really good condition and you can hardly see his hip bones at all. Now my questions. - Is it OK for my daughter to ride him on the road? It is only four lanes, and the riding arena place is very expensive. - What sort of saddle will she need to go to the Easter show? - The man who delivered him said he would make an excellent dogger. Is that where they lead the horse in a circle? - We have a large property, almost an acre if you count the bit across the road. Do I need fences? - Is it Ok to keep him in the chook shed? It has only been a couple of weeks and the hens have gone off the lay and it is getting very smelly Many thanks. Thats all I put up, and it was deleted as being controversial and obnoxious...some group admin people are a little odd.
