Hi I got a rainbow lorikeet dropped of to my house from a neighbour, it had flew into his window. The only thing is it cant fly so its confusing me :/ Its a juvenile but it has hardly any tail feathers very short... anyway it can only hover to fly is this normal?? Also under its neck is a weird sort of lump the bird carries itself very well and its calling out to the wild birds and getting around the cage very well. Was just wondering if a bird of its age is supposed to have tail feathers by now, I myself would think so but just want others opinions on this and as to what the lump could be too... TIA
