Hi I need some advice my child n working tax credit have been stopped as they say Im living with ex we parted 5yrs ago and I get some post here for him very rarely and recently a old bank account statement from a long forgotten account they say this is evidence that he lives with me Ive been very honest and up front with them the whole time and never had a problem they said I face a penalty and I must make a joint claim with him they refused to tell me how I can prove his address or tell me if they had other evidence apart from post I only work part time n with out my tax cred Im screwed not sure what to do any advice?
