Hi! I think mine might be a somewhat unique situation but I thought Id ask. Im an amateur bike (bicycle) racer. Ive had a mild sore throat for about 2 months now, but no other symptoms. I dont feel tired or lethargic but am a tad bloated and have soreness/pain in my neck/trapezius (although thats almost normal when Im riding, but Ive been off the bike for 3 Weeks and theyre still sore). Other than that I have no symptoms other than the persistent old sore throat. I had blood work done a month ago and it came back positive for a recurrence of EBV virus. I dont actually ever remember getting it. Ive been advised by some fellow racers not to train or thighs will get much worse. I saw an ENT who concurred with the conclusion my GP ce to; acute EBV recurrence. The depression from not riding or doing anything physically stressful is stressful in and of itself. Im taking L-lysine and Lareah Leaf. I just had another blood draw and will get my results Monday. That will be a month from the first test. Any advice, suggestions or hints? Not being able to train is killing me and the stress of the holidays is pushing me to my mental limits.
