Hi. I would like to start with stressing on the importance of what - TopicsExpress

Hi. I would like to start with stressing on the importance of what Im about to say. This is something that needs to reach as many people as possible. Post it as your status, share it on other groups (after seeking permission), tell people verbally, but first and foremost, please please if you are guilty of doing this then I urge you to practice it yourself and teach your children the same. Bismillah (In the name of God) I read somewhere that affection causes aggression which is why we tend to pull the cheeks of babies (sometimes rather hard) or hug them tightly (mostly more than needed) and we notice that a lot of them end up crying. Sometimes we take this a little too far and practice it on children that we do not know, even if we find them at random market places, like the supermarket. I specifically mention the supermarket because as many times as I have gone, never, never has my daughter been safe from this. Honestly, I appreciate your kind words and compliments for my baby but that absolutely Does Not mean that I will allow you to follow that by pulling my babys cheeks after you eat your Spicy french fries and LICK your fingers! No. Never. Sorry. We carry so many germs being in contact with things Especially if we are out shopping and babies are very sensitive to any kind of bacteria. Not once has anyone done this to my child when I was in the States but somehow here in Pakistan it is the hardest thing to stop people from doing. I can not turn my head away from my baby even for a second when I am out grocery shopping and it has actually become very difficult for me to stop each and every person going after her cheeks and to also be nice every time. This is why I am hoping that this go viral so everyone guilty of doing this knows that (although your intentions are pure) it is not something very appreciated. After all, how many will I be able to stop individually. Another thing. Smothering babies with lipstick marks all over. Nooooooo =((((((((( Thats just wrong!!! Again, babies have sensitive skin and lipstick is greasy! I will obviously have to do some scrubbing or use a strong soap on her face to take it off. Here, I am not just speaking for myself, but also for the thousands of other parents out there who stay quiet because they do not want to be rude to others oblivious of this offense that is taken. But please, if that is not your child and you have not sought permission, then please, please keep your emotions under control. If you really feel the need to, seek permission first (WITH CLEAN HANDS). And if you are asked not to, then please do not take it to heart. I promise, if not now, you will understand what it feels like once you become a parent inshaa Allah (God willing). (If I have made any offense to anyone who has read this, please forgive me.) Concerned mother, Amber Loya.
