Hi Im Bethany Im 22 and was diagnosed with cf at 3 months. Im a fighter and will not give up. I have an 11 month old son hes healthy as can be hes my rock he keeps me going everyday. I love being a mommy he is my miracle baby my doctors told me I couldnt have kids and god granted me a miracle. Me and my sons father are not together but I did find someone to accept and understand me and hes accepted my son as his own its the best feeling In the world. I lost my dad to suicide in 2011 very tragic was going down a bad path where I didnt wanna take care of myself and I was in a depression mode, I realized I couldnt be sad because my dad always told me never be sad and keep a smile on your face and no tears I had to be strong for my sisters and for him got out of the rough patch and started doing the right things to make me healthy. Ive had 3 lung collapses my left lung collapsed twice the second collapse caused me to get a chest tube. Back in June my right lung collapsed luckily I didnt have to get a chest tube it was small and repaired itself Ive been through a lot thats why I keep on fighting because this disease isnt gonna bring me down. We are all like everyone else except our lungs are just sick and we just take meds to make us stay healthy Every breath counts(: you can add me on fb if you like (:
