Hi, Im Michael Cox and I feel I need to share. Here are some photos taken two summers apart 2012 and 2014. I have lost 123 lbs. People ask what diet Im doing and I tell them Im not on a diet. I live in Colorado one of the most beautiful places on earth and I love to be outdoors. Having a weight problem made that difficult. I have learned its not so much what you eat but how you eat. I started by eliminating sugary drinks, soft drinks are not good for you, period (topic of another discussion). I decided to start eating real food, nothing processed. This meant more home cooking. I use cast iron utilizing healthier fats. I learned to eat human sized portions, more often (5-6 times daily) incorporated more veggies and less starches. I have one off meal a week and try to maintain a balance and portion control. I also decided to be more active, started by walking and progressed from there. It is not easy and I have down days as everyone does but to make this work it is more of a lifestyle change than a diet or program. To me, a program is something you complete, where a lifestyle is just that, how you live your life. This is part of my healthy CI story, I share to show it can be done using cast iron.
