Hi, Im another time waster who decided not to buy from Lia I - TopicsExpress

Hi, Im another time waster who decided not to buy from Lia I went to visit Gino, I had noticed that he had been for sale in2011 but was returned to safecobs. I asked why and was told the previous owner had cancer and couldnt look after him. This was the same story a friend had been given on a different cob she was looking at buying at Lias but I only found that out last month I rode Gino round d the block, he was lovely but I just couldnt decide, he was breathing very heavily and had a slight limp. The bit was too small for him, I did ask Lia what size he took but she couldnt tell me, when I asked about the saddle I was simply told buy a cob sized one.. The next week I asked an experienced friend to go with me to see Gino and have a ride. She did and I told Lia I would decide later. She was insistent that I put a deposit down, but I had another horse to go see. I spoke to my friend and we agreed the breathing was a problem. The fields were really muddy, the horses were covered in mud. There was a lead rope and head collar left in one of the fields where a horse could trip or hurt themselves on it. When I moved it and told Lia she said she had left it when a horse had run away from her. The stables were lacking in sawdust and some of the horses that were in there were standing in just wee or faeces. A few days later I told Lia I would not be buying Gino as I had found my perfect horse elsewhere, a lot cheaper and came with tack. I was called a time waster. I then noticed on the facebook page that Gino had leg problems my friend asked what they were but never got a response. I think Gino has since been sold but would love an update as he was a pretty gentle guy. Heres a pic of Gino when I went to view him and from the advert, it looks like two different horses. I now have a lovely cob called brambles who is my world.
