Hi! Im exhausted, but elated! Our Cancer Awareness Christmas Float, Dreaming Of the Cure, won First Place/Civic Organization, in our Hawesville Christmas Parade. We then drove, (crept slowly), ten miles to enter Lewisports Christmas Parade and, once again, won First Place/Churches and Clubs. Thanks to our great friends, Tim and Sherry Porter; the Reska Family; Selina Stewart, Tyler, and Sierra; Maggie Craig and her Grandchildren; Ira, Lauren and Henry Proctor; and Dylan Means. My Hero, who made this whole project possible, was my fantastic husband Gary! He used his vacation days to endure my direction for this endeavor. Gary carried the bulk of the physical work to make my vision transform to a winning float! Thank you everyone! I hope someone took better pictures than we snapped!
