Hi Im looking for some advice. I have a 3 week old guinea pig male unfortunately his mum died and he was left alone so Ive brought him home. I have him in a indoor hutch hes hand feeding well and eats from his bowl when no one is around. Hes pooing and eating well but after extensive research (never had guinea pigs before) it states everywhere that they dont cope well alone as they are herd animals. He likes to sit on your knee and be stroked but when in his hutch spends all of his time in his house - I know he comes out when we are not around because of poo ect. Ive never seen him play or anything. Is this normal and would people recommend a mate for him?
