Hi Im really new to dota 2. Going on a month sunday. So it goes to say Im not very good. Im currently sitting on 74 wins and 63 loses. Im not sure how the pairing system works. But there is an obvious diffrence in skill level with the people I play. Most games someone like me who has only been playing for 3 weeks end up carrying the team to victory(there are many games where Im useless too). Ive also found that alot of the people I play with are really scared. Im talking about teamfights where 2 teammates will just run away when an opponent hero ults, even when we have the lv and farm advantage. Is this something other people experience. Many times Ill call a gank or ping for support and have the full force of the team behind me indicate Im about to initiate and they retreat. and example. Last night I played an enigma. had blink and black hole ready. We all where headed down mid opponents showed up and I blinked in blackholed caught 4 of the 5 enemies. My team decided to run away then realised I had landed the blackhole. Ran back after it had ended(at this point ive been killed) and then all proceed to die. this is something Im seeing more and more. I assumed the higher your win percentage the better the players will be who you are paired with, but this seems to almost be in reverse. So Im hoping the experienced players on this group could tell me if this is norm or if Im just plain unlucky? Let me state again Im very newb atm so I make ALOT of mistakes, in all my games even the ones Ive won. I rewatch many games Ive played and see alot of mistakes i make. So im willing to learn and improve in the game.
