Hi KXC, A colleague of mine (I work for a Christian charity called Samaritans Purse: samaritans-purse.org.uk/) recently returned from Rwanda with a really unique request from one of our partners there. Message me if you are interested and I will put you in touch with my colleague. When I was in Rwanda earlier this month, our lead partner at the Anglican Church, Rev Francis Karemera, asked me if I knew of anyone in the UK who would like to come to his church in Kigali for 4-6 weeks for the committed purpose of teaching some of their young people to learn how to play instruments (keyboard, guitar and drums), and learn how to effectively lead worship in their church. It would require the right person with the availability, funds, commitment and most definitely the skills to undertake this mission. Conversational French might help as well. This trip would have to be self-funded - not paid for – I’m merely making the introduction and would be happy to help with some orientation if the right person materialised. What I can confidently do is to recommend Rev Francis and Kigali – “Africa Light” as a missionary recently described Kigali to me – a very pleasant and comfortable city in which to live! I would be grateful if you would mention this to the right people at your church, your warehouse, amongst your friends etc, and let me know of any expressions of interest you receive in response. Again, message me if you feel called - thank you!
