Hi Kitchi Families, July weather has finally made its way to Beausoleil, and it only took until August 5th! This long-weekend the sun has been shining and temperatures have been as high as our spirits! On Saturday the camp was divided into four sections for a Hunger Games themed Battle 4 Beausoleil that had teams going head to head in a test of skills, strength, stamina and wit. Congratulations to the red team who emerged victorious! On Sunday, campers and staff enjoyed a restful sleep-in and were then treated to a veritable feast for brunch: waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, perogies and much more! After brunch, the L2s led an engaging chapel that filled us with songs, poems and stories to help us reflect on the week weve spent together and the week that lies ahead. Early this morning in the pitch black of 5am, the L1s said farewell to the island as they prepared for their outtrip. They are now en route to Temagami where they will be exploring the Canadian Wilderness on a 4-night, 5-day canoe trip. We wish them well and will be posting updates so you can see where theyll be spending their nights! Take a look at our Session 3 photo album for some shots of the action.
