Hi Kitties, In response to some recent comments we have received, I am going to release the following public service announcement on my own accord. This page was created by Jen. She has loved this page and has given it her blood, sweat, and tears, for some years now. She does not get paid. None of us receive monetary compensation or any other sort of compensation for that matter, for what we do here. We do not solicit, we do not pay to promote our page, we do not get any type of kick back or corporate sponsorship. What we do is create a place where we do not feel so alone. We have now grown to over 10,000 people from ALL walks of life, with a multitude of chronic disorders. Recently I have read some very nasty comments, from what I assume, is coming from some very hurt people. I get that our lives are not all warm and fuzzy, but know this: We read the comments. Jen reads your comments, and some of them have been really hurtful as of late. She has spent thousands of hours helping us. She answers your questions- and by no means are her answers something quick. A lot of research goes into the answers she provides. She makes some of your memes, well really, she makes a fair share for people who cannot make them. She researches a lot of disorders- that she does not have. They benefit all of us. So when you say things out of spite, it just is not nice. You took exception to a few of the non-CIC memes I posted. I do not have an excuse for posting them because, honestly, I am human and I did not see them the way some of you did. Do you know what text does not convey? Intent and introspect. The pictures I posted were not a bash at your disorder, because believe me, thats the last thing I want. They were not a bash at your lineage or heritage, and for anyone to infer this- I have one thing to say- less than 1% of you know who I am or what I am. This site is not run by a robot, it takes a lot of time, effort, thought, and spirit to do what Jen started, and by no means am I anywhere as vested in this endeavor as she is. Your off the cuff remarks not only are mean spirited, they also ensue backlash from other fans. If you want a fight, take it to another page. If you take offense to what we post- send us a message- we do really read them. Guaranteed, that post that pissed you off, probably was not intended as you read it. We are all sick, sometimes we need to realize this. Ali Cat
