Im not sure if its this sort of aching you were talking about or you have totally depleted your glycogen stores, and theres nothing in the tank. Anybody following a high protein diet is going to struggle with any prolonged or high intensity cardio work. Carbohydrates is the main source of fuel you are using when doing this sort of training. Theres lots of information out there on high protein diets please have a read up on it. You are going to find lots of information out there on the pros and the cons. I have never followed a high protein diet and personally dont recommend it. Theres lots of vitamins and minerals missing from a high protein diet not to mention the carbs that the body needs when training hard. A well balanced diet is the way to go.
