Hi Ladies, I just posted this to my FB but I thought it might get some more responses here (so sorry if you are seeing this twice!!) Also, I know we all went to STJ but I would still like to hear your opinions! I recently started with the ASHAs Leadership Program with the project focus on creating awareness for limited training in pediatric dysphagia yet the rising need for non-medical SLPs to provide dysphagia therapy. If you do not mind helping me out answering some questions based off your confidence and competency in the this area please please let me know!! I am looking to learn if graduate programs provide you with sufficient depth of the topic in a general dysphagia class or is there a separate course dedicated to just pediatrics. Since there is even a wide range of deficits concerning pediatric dysphagia (NICU to picky eaters) I also want to know what topics were covered if you did get training during your graduate course work. Also, if anyone has an opinion on the topic good, bad, suggestions I would love to hear it!! THANK YOU!! :)
