Hi Lennonites this is a letter Dwight Weir wrote to his past Principal of Lennon Miss Duncan and she would like to share it with you. Dear Ms Duncan, I trust that you are well. Following your comments on Facebook I have written a short summary of the last few years. I remember clearly your letter to Alcoa in 1995 that encouraged the company to pay my tuition fees in order for me to attend the Edna Manley College. Many thanks for your support and belief in me. After I left Lennon, I attended Edna Manley College where I completed my teaching qualification in Drama in Education. I later went to State University of New York where I completed a BSc in Theatre Arts. I later returned to Jamaica and taught for three years then migrated to England. Whilst here I studied for an MA in Drama in Education and an MA Ed. in School Improvement. I recently completed a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I am now working as an Assistant Headteacher in a London school. I would like to thank you and the staff of Lennon High School for the foundation and discipline. It all started there - I am very grateful. I hope to return to Lennon one day and give back whatever I can.
