The Dolphin Project is a non profit organization under the International Marine Mammal Project that aims to stop dolphin and whale slaughter and exploitation around the world. Under the leadership of Ric OBarry who was featured in the #AcademyAward winning documentary The Cove, The Dolphin Project works to free these complex, social, and emotional animals from captivity, stop the captive breeding programs, end the sale of #dolphins and #orcas to dolphinaria and sea parks for human entertainment. They also work to stop the numerous cetacean slaughters around the world, including Taiji, Japan, the Faroe Islands and the Solomon Islands.
