Hi, Molly Shen KOMO here to answer a question for a viewer. She wanted to know when its okay to start letting kids ride in the front seat. Do you know the law? Ive found a lot of people are surprised to hear it is ... (wating for your guesses) ... 13 years old. The law says The driver of a vehicle transporting a child who is under 13 years old shall transport the child in the back seat where it is practical to do so. If you have a carload of kids, its okay to put an 8 year old and up in the front, but only if its the only place to sit. Happy and safe driving this weekend!
