Hi. My name is Islabon. At least that is what my new friend Mark Diekmann calls me since that is where I was picked up today by him. He told me that fate brought him along the road today to find me as he had to buy a new battery for the Rescue Rover, whatever that is. I was crossing the busy road back and forth looking for food. He saw me and was worried about me as he said I looked like a bag of bones. I had never been touched in my entire life by a human and so he scared me when he stopped. However, I was so tired and so hungry that eventually I just gave up and let him come to me. He put me in his truck and told me everything would now be alright. I put my head on his shoulder for the entire ride back to his house. He and his wife Debbie gave me more food than I had seen in weeks and I knew I had a chance. Thanks to Dogs and Cats of the Dominican Republic for taking me in. If you want to help me with food or vet care or adopting me let me know.
