Hi, My name is Neil Ewing. I lived in Moylan St East Bentleigh in 1965 with my mother and brothers Rodney and Chris. I went to Oakleigh Tech and my brohers went to Ormond East State School. We used to play with the brothers who lived in the house next door. I cant remember their first names but I think their sir name was Lee. There was an older boy who lived accross the street who used to talk to us and do things like testing our billycarts when we made them. His sir name was Cameron I think. We used to follow the soft drink delivery man when he made his round down our street on Friday eveinigs hoping for a free bottle. Sometimes it payed off. We left that year but I returned in 1971 when I was 18, to live in a flat in Tucker Rd with my two friends Paul Mckay and Leon Jones who were brothers. We spent a great deal of time at the Star Ballroom in Centre Rd Bentleigh where we were on the amateur teaching staff. This was good for us beacuse it meant that we could attend the dance classes (3 nights a week) and get in free. All we had to do was dance with the class girls and teach them the basic steps if they didnt know them. This was good for me because I was too quiet to talk to girls, but all I had to do was hold out my hand and the next girl in order would dance with me. I kept dancing at the Star where I met my now wife, Gloria Cormie, of 40 years, who grew up in East Bentleigh. Gloria and I were on staff at the Star until 1974 when we married and moved to Doveton. I would like to hear from any one from The Star (especially Paul or Loen whom i have lost contact with) or Moylan st
