Hi! My name is Rock. Im a tall, dark and handsome fella, huh? What you cant see, though, is that Im sad, Ive endured a strenuous bout with heartworms, Im shy and a bit scared. Please allow me to share my history with you. I was originally adopted from PAWS as a puppy and for 7 years, I lived a lonely life in a backyard before my owner surrendered me to Animal Control, due to no fault of my own. Upon being rescued from euthanasia by PAWS, it was discovered that I was heartworm positive,was severly emaciated and neglected; I was terrified and I could not even stand up on my own. I immediately began treatment for heartworms and I recently completed all aspects of treatment. I am now on a regular heartworm preventative. I spent a lot of time in the administrative offices building up my trust of others and social skills and I was finally adopted. Unfortunately, I was brought back to PAWS, again, due to no fault of my own. My owner did not have time for me. So, here I sit. Im not sure what went wrong. Everyone who stops at my door says that I am so charming and loveable, yet Im still searching for a forever family. I love children, but I would flourish in a calm, relaxed environment. I will definitely be your companion if you give me the chance. Please take some time to visit with me and allow me to show you just how special I am.
