Hi Perth people, wasnt today just beautiful, weather wise? I often talk to Stella about moving to Northern California, where they get weather like today pretty much all summer, as well as for good parts of spring and autumn, say 150 days per year. Maybe 3-4 hot days, 32 degrees plus. Also, for some reason, its not all that windy, lots of morning fog instead. Stella counters this with, firstly the ground isnt stable over there. 180 earth tremors per year along the California coast is too much for the nerves. Also, its drier and the hills are steeper. Now that introduced eucalypts have pretty much taken over from the native scrub oaks in their bush land (Chaparral in California lingo), their wildfires, which were always pretty impressive, now make our recent bushfires resemble a Teddy Bears picnic. All things considered, were staying in WA.
