Hi RKA Gang We delivered a LOT of food yesterday! Kathy and I want to say a big thanks to everybody that donated food!! We had about 15 riders show out of 72 signups. Kathy and I totally understand those that did not make it. The weather was a bear for sure and it was raining heavily at home when we got our first cup of coffee. Some folks that did ride in from the south and east got drenched. But we did get the ride underway and there was no rain at all during the ride, only wet slick roads with plenty of debris in the road. Thanks to Yann for the regrouping stop at “Barrel Builders” in Calistoga. THANKS to everyone for riding safe on the ride and riding safe on the laps. OH YES …. The laps DID happen!! The track dried out enough and it was ON!!! This whole event would not happen without SonomaRaceway and the special folks that work there. Laurence, Jennifer and Jere! We want to tell you, Kathy and I enjoy doing this event and next year will be number 15, YES the 15th annual food drive ride. We are working with the Raceway to maybe change the dates or how we do the event to make it an even bigger event. So we are starting our list NOW.
