Hi Slackers, Ive been thinking recently about highline gear - TopicsExpress

Hi Slackers, Ive been thinking recently about highline gear that could be improved on and Ive identified the leash ring as a frustrating little tidbit. Its often forgotten and a partial de-rig is usually around the corner. I was toying with a gated solution that wouldnt potentially nick webbing on a fall but then I came up with this helix idea; it could be threaded onto doubled-up webbing pretty easily, which is what I had in mind, but could still work with a rope backup. Im a believer in open source development and am only really interested in pursuing ideas to concept level. Just here to discuss :) There are some obvious issues, and I think theyre resolvable. The question is: Is something like this worthwhile, or do we just try and be a little more diligent during rigging?
