Hi! So I have a foster dog with anxiety. She usually takes prescription anxiety meds but I have been car-less so I havent been able to pick up her prescription for about a week. But she also usually gets 1-2 natural anxiety chews a day, and WITH her prescription meds she doesnt usually chew anything, but without she does. I spaced today leaving her natural anxiety chews on the table when I left and came home to the entire bag gone. They were about 50 individually wrapped chews left in the bag, so she ate the actual chews and the papers. The normal dosage is 2 chews a day & not to exceed more than 6. I called her vet and they said to call the company & poison control. I called the company and they said the ingredients are mostly natural and harmless but they have no idea how a dog would react to the amount she consumed. I am going to call animal poison control but the cheapest hotline is $40, so I figured I would ask to see if anyone had insight before I either pay the hotline or take her to the emergency vet. She is approx 52 lbs and ate the chews sometime between 12pm and 5pm today. She is acting normal and not lethargic or anything. I am posting a list of the ingredients. The active ingredient list is for ONE soft chew, she ate 50... Im not sure if its too late to induce vomiting or if that could make her choke because of the papers she ate as well. Any insight would be appreciated. I am monitoring her closely right now and shes acting fine. Im worried tho and feel like a total idiot for leaving these within her reach... The product is GNC pets ultra mega calming formula for all dogs soft chews beef flavor.
