We discussed several political figures who you could read about (if you are short of something else to do): · Thomas Payne (rights of man—all men are born equal) · Thomas Jefferson (liberty versus security) · Karl Marx We also talked about: · Sir Thomas More (utopian proposition) · Hegel (probably did not go into sufficient detail—provides the framework for discussion in depth) · Marx (uses Hegelian thought to produce high quality evidence and logic based political theories) · Adam Smith (economics) I neglected to mention that for any management depth, it has been recommended by many that one should always read Sun Tzu’s “Art of War”.
