Hi Team, Please note that maintenance crew will be onsite Tuesday 11th (this Tuesday) to replace all internal doorknobs. Be aware that some doors will not be accessible at this time. I will send out a flowchart so all team members can plan accordingly. As previously noted there have been several instances of workplace injury due to wrist strain. ***This doesnt only happen at your desk*** The new knobs should prevent unnecessary wrist action, and keep us disability friendly for those of us in the Back To Work! Program. The new doorknobs installed will be press lever doorknobs (in silver for extra viz), rather than the round twist knobs. This should improve efficiency moving between offices and reduce OH&S risk. To make sure everybody adapts to the new system I have scheduled a mandatory training session for Wednesday 13th (once the knobs are on) to ensure optimal user-friendliness. The session is booked in for 9:45am in the Sunrise Boardroom on level 3 (room 305). If you cannot attend the session you will need to arrange a time with me as legal needs all employees signed off as competent for OH&S reasons. Cheers, Melissa Greenwald (OH&S Officer)
