Hi. Thanks for letting me in because I am lost. This is Maya. She is my 8 month old foster that I got last week as an owner turn in. Supposedly it was because their kid was allergic to her, but now I wonder. She was diagnosed with MegaE 2 days ago. At first I thought the gagging and choking were just from the tube from her spay which is automatically done on intake by the rescue. But it go worse and worse until she couldnt keep anything down. Ex-rays show the enlargement, tests have been done, but I am wondering if the spay could have exaserbated the problem and if maybe it will go away a bit as the swelling in the stomach goes down (reaching for hope !) The rescue is locating her a chair and none too soon because my neck and shoulders are about to give out holding up this big starving doggie. Youll probably hear alot from me, asking for advice or just venting.
