I would like to reccomend you to come to the north also. There are many places to visit! I work in a tourist information office in Tegueste. Its near La Laguna, where the university is. I invite you to visit (Turismo de Tegueste) in Facebook. Its only in Spanish but just ask me if you have any doubt! Its a fantastic place to enjoy with the family and appreciate the vineyards landscape. There are plenty of footpaths to do trekking as its near the Rural Park of Anaga and you can also taste local gastronomy.
