Hi, The disciplinary action committe (DAC) of Congress (I) has expelled Mr.Arjun Singh (former union human resources minister) from the party for 6 years. The reason given was that Mr.Arjun Singh was involved in anti-party activities and trying to create dissidence in the party and also trying to degrade the status of the party. The majority decision was announced by the DAC chairman Mr.Vijay Bhasker Reddy after a hour long meeting at Delhi. Among the leaders who opposed the action was former union minister Mr.A.K.Antony. Mr.Arjun Singh in a press conference called after he was told of the DAC decision said that he will not split the party and will continue to work as a committed Congress soldier.
