Hi, This is John in for Joyce. Some of you may know I live in Los Angeles and yes, I am a fire breathing conservative. More and more of my fellow Angelenos are conservative or heading in that direction thanks to Obama. Anyway, The other night I was watching the local news. Story after story seemed to be about mans inhumanity to man. A ten year old boy hit by a car and left in the street with only his young friend to go for help. Several people shot. People being mugged. I watched the national news and the same kind of evils came front and center. Those in Washington we should be able to trust telling more lies to hold power over us. I know there is much that is wrong with our old world, but there are things that are so right too. Maybe, if we heard those as well it would inspire people to become the better version of themselves. At least it might be of value to the young growing up in these troubled times to see the other side of the coin. We need to remember our American roots in this country. We need to remember our culture. Our parents and grandparents taught us to have honor and to live a life of moral strength in the light of God. At times it seems as if many of us have turned our backs on all that. We may sometimes forget what is most important in the passage of a busy day. We have to be careful not to lose ourselves in the winds of contempt that have blown into our America, an America they want to fundamentally change. Sometimes a little thing will hit you out of the blue and give you a better view of life when times may seem very dark. A friend had the following video on her site. I watched it and wanted to share it with you. The song is beautiful. It inspires. It reminds us of what is important and that really we are all part of the same family. It is an early Christmas gift to us all. I hope we all remain strong against those who would change us, but never lose sight of the good that is also within our grasp. Take care.
