Hi Timebankers, Well what a glorious weekend. Spring is early this year. Thank You Well the Farmers Market NZ Forum was held in Lyttelton over the weekend. Participant numbers ranged from 20-52 for the various events that were held around the township and wider harbour As you are aware the Timebank played a role in the event. We experimented with home stays for non TimeBank members. Four TimeBank households participated. I hosted a visitor from Nelson, Juliet Adams had two visitors from Auckland, Juliet Neill had two visitors from Gisborne and Kim Smith’s family hosted a young family from Oamaru. All of the participants just loved their homestay experience and all of them felt it added to their Lyttelton experience.considerably. The Oamaru delegate did not know Oamaru was starting a TimeBank..She headed home to find out all about it! The TimeBank received $220 in donations. A big thank you to you all for trialing this. I think it’s an innovative way to host people, fundraise and really give people the essence of this special community.
