Hi Volunteers, We are getting close to the Sucrogen Townsville 400, less than one week to go!! A few things for those volunteering with us: 1.Don’t forget to pick up your accreditation from the Accreditation Centre- which is located at the Railway Estate Community Centre on First Street. Accreditation Centre hours are- Wednesday 3rd July 0900hrs - 1900hrs Thursday 4th July 0900hrs - 1900hrs Friday 5th and Saturday 6th July 0600hrs - 1400hrs 2. Please remember if you cannot attend for whatever reason, please email us & let us know so we can reallocate positions to cater for your absence. If during the event you cannot attend make sure you call & let us know. If you pick up your accreditation pack & then do not show up for your shift, you must return everything back to us or we will send you the bill for the goods you have taken! ($400- not cheap) 3. Event Officials- You will need to do a briefing prior to you starting on Friday. You can either do so at the Accreditation Centre when you pick up your pack- ask the ladies & they will provide a document for you to read & then they will sign off that you have done it. Otherwise you can come see us on Wednesday or Thursday night at 5.30pm in the Basketball Hall at Townsville High School & we will run you through it all (should only take about half an hour) 4. Make sure you re-check what your shift times are & arrive prior to that time so we can sign you on, get you briefed, give you some lunch etc. before we need you at your point. If you are unsure of what you are doing email us & we can clarify for you. 5. Make sure you take note of the uniform requirements. Most of you will wear the polo tops and hats we provide you & bring your own pants and shoes. Your uniform requirements are detailed in the first email we sent you with your shift times. 6. Make sure you bring something to keep your lunch cool, and extra food/drinks if need be. We will provide breakfast for the morning people- you must have a voucher to eat breakfast which will be in your accreditation pack. We will also give you a lunch pack each shift which has a sandwich, piece of fruit, muesli bar & a sweet. 7. People camping at Riverside Convention Centre- make sure you check in with Annette upon arrival, and make sure you arrive prior to dark. 8. If you are driving to the track make sure you go to the Support Category Paddock on Brodie Street to park your car- you will need to show your hard card to gain entry.
